PROFILE

MUCC

MUCC is a 3-piece rock band consisting of Tatsuro (vocal), Miya (guitar) and YUKKE (bass). Since debuting in 1997, MUCC has been at the forefront of Visual Kei, continuously creating new music and experimenting with genres such as rock, metal, punk, dance, and rap.

Throughout their almost three decades, they have crafted an influential oeuvre including their debut album Tsūzetsu (2001), their major label release Zekū (2003), Hōyoku (2005), and other critically acclaimed releases such as Shangri-La (2012), Aku (2020) and Shin Sekai (2022). They are signed with the influential Japanese rock label MAVERICK D.C.

MUCC has performed both within and outside of Japan, having held nearly 150 concerts in 13 countries including across Europe, America, China, Russia, and South America.
In Japan, the band has held solo concerts at notable venues like Nippon Budokan, Makuhari Messe and Yoyogi National Stadium 1st Gymnasium. They have also performed at large-scale music festivals such as SUMMER SONIC, LOUD PARK, OZZFEST, and KNOTFEST JAPAN within Japan, and Wacken Open Air, Sweden Rock Festival, Metaltown Festival, and Tuska Open Air Metal Festival internationally.

They have also performed as the supporting act for the Japan concerts of numerous legendary foreign artists including Guns N’ Roses, The Smashing Pumpkins, Good Charlotte, and AFI. Their performances have gained them many rave reviews from all corners of the world.
